Florida Keys at a glance
While the storied Florida Keys are just a stone’s throw from mainland Florida, they’re a world away. The Keys are a 125-mile-long chain of islands stretching from just south of Miami to Key West, the southernmost point in the United States. (The Keys are closer to Cuba than they are to mainland Florida.)
The islands that make up the Keys are connected by an incredible 42 bridges, making traveling from one island to the next an experience all its own. The main regions in the archipelago are Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, Big Pine and Lower Keys, and Key West. The Keys offer a laid-back lifestyle and endless tropical vistas.
Snorkel, dive or fish from Key West, sample fresh-from-the-dock seafood in Islamorada or soak up incredible ocean views as you cross the Seven-Mile Bridge connecting Knight’s Key and Little Duck Key. You can’t go wrong in the Florida Keys.
