Conveniently located just 40 minutes from Salt Lake City, Park City is popular with skiers and snowboarders, who can take their pick from two world-class ski resorts, Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort.
Park City Mountain is the largest resort in the United States, with 7,300 acres, and offers 330 trails, 43 lifts, six terrain parks and convenient ski-in, ski-out access to Main Street. Deer Valley Resort is smaller and less crowded, making it a great place for beginners. Whichever resort you choose, you’ll love knowing that you’re skiing on a mountain that hosted events during the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Park City is perhaps best known for the Sundance Film Festival every January. It’s the largest independent film festival in the United States and a bucket list event for film lovers. It’s also a great time to spot your favorite celebrities wandering the streets of this quaint town.
Park City isn’t just a winter destination. The warmer months bring all kinds of family-friendly adventures, among them outdoor festivals, farmers markets, the Kimball Arts Festival, 28 miles of mountain biking on the Mid-Mountain Trail, and horseback riding.
